Here I write about what happens when the beliefs you were raised with start to crack, and then completely fall apart. About what it’s like to go from on-fire-for-God to standing in the ashes wondering if any of it was ever real.
About the fear, the freedom, the fallout.
About the silence. The clarity. The anger. The loss. The honesty.

I talk about leaving religion, not because I wanted to, but because I had to.
I talk about what it’s like to still feel spiritual, but not religious.

To believe in soul and story and seasonal rhythm.

I won’t tell you what to believe. I won’t pretend to have it all figured out.
